On June 20, 2025, the National Assembly of Bulgaria conducted a second round of voting on the draft law governing markets in crypto-assets. All provisions of the MiCA regulation received final approval, sending a clear signal to the market: the official framework will soon enter into force.

First, Members of Parliament approved the core principles of the forthcoming regulation. During the second reading, details were refined down to the smallest points and contentious amendments were removed from the agenda. Once the President signs the text and it is published in the “Darzhaven Vestnik,” the law will take effect three days later.
